Lately, Billy Clarksville has been experimenting with abstract painting. Heavily influenced by music and his days as a charcoal artist, his art has no rules and is constantly evolving. He works very fast and acts on an image or idea and interprets it through color and his unique style of creating a mood through forms and texture. You can view the process of his self portrait in a short video called Mardigras Portrait. He is not sure which direction he wants to take his new found obsession with art. All that we can expect is that it will be spontaneous and driven by the emotion between his hand and the canvas. Billy hopes to fuse art and music in some of his shows on the Tremont tour this year.
